What is a "virtual law office"?

With the technological advances over the past ten to twenty years, many industries made the move to the virtual landscape. The best example of this might be the rise of internet shopping. The legal field has been reluctant to make this shift to the online world, but it has done so nonetheless.

Over the past decade, the legal field has become more accepting of electronic signatures, scanned documents, and virtual meets. This shift was hastened over the course of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic, with many firms retreating to their home offices to continue working while others put their practices on hold in hopes to avoid change. Many of the firms that went virtual saw an uptick in profits due in part to a reduction in overhead costs; trading office space for the kitchen table, home office, or even the beach.

What does this mean for you?

Essentially, it means a more relaxed experience and lower costs. Imagine being able to safely meet with your attorney face to face without leaving your home. It means no travel time to or from the office, it means no need to find a baby sitter, no need to feel guilty about leaving your pets alone. It means not having to miss a day of work so that you can meeting with your attorney for an hour that day.

How does it work?

The process begins when you schedule your own planning meeting via a link on my website or on my Facebook page. I will then send you a confirmation email along with some information for you to consider before the first meeting. This meeting will be held via video conferencing (Zoom or Microsoft Teams), but other accommodations can be made based on your needs. I will then create your documents and arrange for them to be signed. That's it!
